Flint, MI-- The Flint Monarchs avenge their season opening loss by defeated the Milwaukee Aces 79-65, at home on Saturday July 15.
The Monarchs were led by Shareta Brown who had 28 points and 10 rebounds, Crystal Bradford posted 18 points and 13 rebounds and Flint native Brandie Baker tossed in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. “I told the entire Monarch organization that this game was personal,” said Monarchs President & General Manager. “I wanted them to send a strong message that any championship in this league must come through Flint and the Monarchs rule until we are dethroned.”
The Aces were led by Same Price with 18 points and 3 rebounds and Terri Stamps posted 13 points and 5 rebounds.
The Monarchs (3-1) will travel to Illinois this weekend to take on the Chicago Breeze at 2 p.m. (Central Standard Time) Sunday July 23 at Hales Francisan Arena in Chicago, IL.
